We've updated the design and interface for a cleaner, more contemporary look, and added a new area to our Demo Rooms so that you can now view a Demo featuring our new Quickbooks Integration Module.

Our Support section has also been re-structured and beefed up, with an easy to use FAQ to help TimePro Admins and Users find answers to their frequently asked questions.

The lads and lassies of Team TimePro once again donned lycra, jerseys and helmets and hopped onto their souped up deadly treadlies for this year's Santos Great Bike Ride.

The Santos Great Bike Ride for Charity is one of Western Australia’s most iconic mass cycling events. The event raises vital funds for the Horizon House, Hope for Children and the Heart Foundation.

In eye-catching blue jerseys, the team took to the streets of Perth for the big ride. It was a fantastic day filled with humour and friendly competition.

We'll be back next year with brand-spanking new jerseys! Keep an eye out for us!

From Xero to Hero: TimePro integrates with Xero!

We're upgrading TimePro's Accounting Integration Module to enable integration with the Xero online accounting system

Using the new Xero Accounting Integration Module, you can export TimePro time records as invoices for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in Xero.

Key features of the new integration with Xero:

You can export Xero Customer and Supplier data into Intertec TimePro. This will help set up and configure Intertec TimePro to match your Xero records.
You can export time records from Intertec TimePro into Xero to generate Accounts Payable Invoices and Accounts Receivable Invoices.

You no longer need to manually create the invoices in Xero! Stay tuned for more news about our new Xero Integration Module.

Why Accounting Integration?

TimePro 5.2 is the first of our TimePro releases to feature Accounting Integration with two powerhouse accounting systems: MYOB and Quickbooks.

Our Accounting Integration module (which can be purchased as an add-on module to the standard TimePro Hosted or In-house package) lets TimePro administrators export time records from TimePro into MYOB and Quickbooks for:

Time Billing (Sales Invoices)
Paying Contractors (Purchases Invoices)
Payroll Integration (Activity Slips or Time Sheets)

Accounting Integration streamlines the time recording to time billing process, removing the need for double entry of times into accounting systems, thus saving administrators and book keepers time (and money).

In the not too distant future, we'll also be integrating with Xero, a popular web-based accounting software. Stay tuned...

TimePro v5.2 - Time tracking with extra power

Intertec TimePro v5.2 boasts a range of enhancements that make TimePro a more powerful and more efficient web timesheets system for your business. With v5.2, we extend TimePro's accounting package integration to include QuickBooks. You can now integrate TimePro with QuickBooks for invoicing, Bills, Timesheets and Expenses.

New major enhancements

QuickBooks Integration
Intertec TimePro has been significantly enhanced to integrate with QuickBooks for invoicing and timesheets. You can now:

Import Quickbooks Customers and Suppliers into Intertec TimePro to set up your Intertec TimePro Customer and Supplier records.
Export time records and expenses as QuickBooks Invoices, Bills, Timesheets and Expenses.

Time Entry Replication
Time recorded for a given day can now be copied to one or more other days via an Advanced Options link at the bottom left of the Time Entry screen. This new feature can be enabled/disabled via a Configuration option in the Intertec TimePro Settings. This is a quick and convenient way to save time if users have to enter the same times across a number of days or weeks. For example entry of extended holiday leave.

TimePro Co-branding
Co-branding gives you the option of having your company logo appear in the TimePro application. Co-branded systems will display your company logo, followed by the caption “powered by Intertec TimePro”. While a select few of our TimePro v5.1 customers adopted an earlier version of the co-branding functionality, the TimePro v5.2 upgrade builds on the technology in that the feature has now been fully implemented to include co-branding across TimePro screens, timesheet templates and standard reports. Note: Consulting fees apply for co-branded TimePro systems.

Enhanced Data Exports
Major improvements have been made to the Intertec TimePro Data export function, which now allows you to create and save data exports to re-run at later dates. In addition to the Time and Expense data exports, you can now also export Attendance data.

You can also edit existing saved Exports, or make a copy of an existing saved Export.

Check Manager Authorisations
A new “Check Managers” function has been added to the Timesheet-Check screen to resend Managers any pending authorisation emails for timesheets. This circumvents the previous workaround of unlocking and re-submitting staff timesheets in order to resend the authorisation emails.

Forgotten Password Reset
Users who have forgotten their passwords can now reset their passwords for themselves without having to contact their Intertec TimePro administrator.

New Staff Cost Detail Report
A new Staff Cost Detail Report has been created which is similar to the existing extensively used Project Cost Detail Report but is Staff-focussed rather than Project-focussed.

New Multi-tab Configuration Settings Screen
The Intertec TimePro Configuration Settings screen has been made more user-friendly via an enhanced tabbed interface. Each Configuration Setting category is now represented by its very own Tab. Click on a Category Tab to view the configuration settings in that category.This tabbed interface makes it easier to quickly configure your Intertec TimePro settings. You can make multiple configuration changes across different Categories all at once, and then click the Save Settings button to commit the changes you have made.

Enhanced Global Projects
Our powerful Global Project function has been significantly enhanced. Staff which had not previously been allocated to Global Projects can now be assigned to Global Projects, and Intertec TimePro will retroactively create the relevant Staff Project Records allocating Staff to all Global Projects. Similarly, existing Intertec TimePro Projects which were not previously marked as Global Projects can now be set as Global Projects, and Intertec TimePro will retroactively create the relevant Staff Project Records allocating Staff to this Global Project.

Other Enhancements

Project Lists and Multi Selectors: Project selection lists in reports now show the disabled Projects at the end of the list flagged with a different background colour. Reports which have a project dropdown with the new multi-selector now only show active Projects by default. In addition, new multi-selectors for Staff and Projects have been introduced on many reports/exports and the Batch Print screen.

Full description text displayed in Time and Expense entry screens: The full Description text can now be viewed in a pop up when you move your mouse pointer over the Description field in the Time Entry or Expense Entry screens. This lets you read the full Description without having to click on the Description field and scrolling through the text entered there.

Date Selection on Reports: To improve the usability of reports, Intertec TimePro now remembers and defaults to the most recent date range entered in reports during a given session.

Auditing of Tasks: The Audit module and Report has been updated to track inserts, deletions and changes to Global Tasks and Project Specific Tasks.

Accounting System Selection: You can now select your Accounting System from the Intertec TimePro System Configuration settings. Choose between MYOB or Quickbooks.

New Alert Message if System has been Disabled for Normal Users: Should the “Normal Users May Access” configuration setting be set to Off, Intertec TimePro will display a constant message informing Administrators that access has been set to Admin users only.

In addition, many new options have been introduced to allow significant flexibility in the mapping of fields between Intertec TimePro’s available fields and the MYOB Activity Slips fields. Key enhancements include the following:

The ability to export Expense records as Activity Slips.

More options for content to be included in the Notes field (now extended to optionally include Project Description, Task External ID and the MYOB Line Item Order).

The option to select the Value to be supplied as Rate in the Activity Slips Export. You can choose to use the Staff Project Charge Rates stored in Intertec TimePro, or to use the Rates stored in MYOB.

Options for values to be supplied as Activity ID, MYOB Job and MYOB Payroll Category now include: Projects MYOB Job number, Staff Projects Cost Code, Staff Projects Description, Staff Projects MYOB Activity ID, Staff Projects Role, Staff Reference, Task Description, Task External ID or a value entered by the Admin User.

Multiple Customers, Projects, Staff, Staff Type and Expense Codes can now be selected for the same Activity Slips export (previously, single selection or all was only available for each category).

The various export selections that you choose are now saved for when you next run the export.

MYOB Customers and Suppliers: When a MYOB Customer or MYOB Supplier record is created manually (ie. not via importing from MYOB), you can now select to generate the corresponding Intertec TimePro Customer or Supplier record automatically.

Major enhancements

Project and Staff multi-selector

A new multi-selector tool has been added to a number of Intertec TimePro reports which gives Intertec TimePro Administrators the ability to select a range of Staff or Project record values for inclusion in one report. This tool allows the selection of criteria by groups such as Staff Type, Status Customer and/or Chargeability, or the selection of specific Staff or Projects to include in the report from a list of available records.

Customer and Supplier access to Intertec TimePro

You can now create logins for external customers and suppliers, giving restricted access to a few selected Intertec TimePro reports so that Customers can view details recorded against their Projects and that Suppliers can view details recorded against their contract Staff.

Configurable field width of drop-down menus in Time Entry and Expense Entry screens

In Intertec TimePro v5.1, you can specify the maximum width of the drop-down menus in Time Entry – for the Customer, Project and Task drop-downs. Widths can be set between 0 (for automatic drop-down sizing) and 500 pixels (roughly 80 characters).

Simplified, easy-to-use Custom Report release

With Intertec TimePro v5.1, it will be easier for Intertec TimePro Administrators to release standard Admin-only pages to Users. Administrators use a user-friendly menu interface to select the User (or category of User), along with the pages they want released to non-Admin user/s.

Faster system performance

The Intertec TimePro timesheet system is now even faster – especially on pages which display a lot of data.

Automatic control of Input Rows

Need more rows to enter your Time or Expense records? Intertec TimePro v5.1 now intelligently detects if you are entering data in the last row and will create a new row for you.

Other enhancements

Authorisation email text can now be edited, and includes Company name: Emails automatically sent to authorising managers when a timesheets is submitted can now be edited n the Intertec TimePro configuration settings.
Projects can now be re-assigned to a different customer: In previous versions of Intertec TimePro, the Customer assigned to a Project is fixed once the Project record is saved and cannot be changed. With v5.1, this restriction has been lifted -- you can now re-assign a Project to a different Customer.
Staff Project Record now lists up to 1000 records: With the performance improvements in Intertec TimePro v5.1, the limit for listing Staff Project records has been increased from 500 records to 1000 records.
Mail server authentication enabled in Intertec TimePro In-house: Mail server authentication is now an optional system configuration for Intertec TimePro In-house users who use a mail server with SMTP authentication.
New report - Staff Attendance Report: This reports attendance times for a period. It is visible only if Attendance Times are enabled in the TimePro configuration settings.
Expense record deletion alert:T he functionality of Expense record deletion has been improved to prevent records from being accidentally deleted. In previous versions of Intertec TimePro, Expense records were permanently removed when the User chose the Delete option. Now, Expense records are first marked for deletion and only permanently removed when the user presses "Save Changes" in the Expense entry screen. This gives the user the ability to back out if records have been deleted by mistake.
Configuration settings show “On” and “Off” modes: The Configuration Setting screens now display "On" or "Off" statements alongside each configuration setting’s checkbox. The text toggles as the checkbox is selected or not deselected.

What makes TimePro different from our competitors?

Whether you're using our Hosted subscription or In-house solution, our time sheet solution is 100% web-based. In other words, there is no need to install anything on your local computer. Simply log-in to the website to use the TimePro time sheet system, either as a User or an Administrator. TimePro leverages the power of the World Wide Web to give you time sheet access to the system anytime and wherever you are connected to the Internet.

Our time sheet is available via mobile devices. If an employee is on site and does not have access to a computer to enter their time sheet, they can access TimePro on their mobile device via our Compact Interface. This provides a neat and easy-to-use interface for time recording. TimePro Administrators can also access the Compact Interface to view and edit time sheets on behalf of staff.

Our timesheet integrates with MYOB for sales invoicing, purchases invoicing and payroll integration. Once staff time sheets have been completed, you can export the data as sales invoices, purchases invoices or activity slips into MYOB and automatically generate invoices, or process the activity slips for payroll integration or time billing. Intertec TimePro v5.0 - released

We are proud to announce the release of our next major upgrade for Intertec TimePro: Intertec TimePro version 5.0. Now, you can track time anywhere, anytime, more effectively and more efficiently, thanks to a suite of new features and enhancements in TimePro.

Version 5.0 sees a whole host of new features and functionality added to the already proven and easy-to-use TimePro solution. Some of the major enhancements include:

New Stylish Interface – Choose a Colour Scheme
TimePro v5.0 features a new stylish interface which updates the look and feel, making the interface more visually appealing as well as easier to use for both Administrators and Users.
Choose between Blue, Green, Orange, Grey, Brown and Black based colour schemes to more closely align with your existing corporate profile.

Global Projects
In the past, to make a Project visible to all Staff, the Adminstrator was required to assign each Staff member to that Project either manually or using the application's Copy Project/Staff features.

In TimePro v5.0, the Administrator is able to flag a Project as "Global", meaning that it will automatically become visible to all Staff without any need for the system administrator to make the assignment. To achieve this there are other associated enhancements such as Default Staff Cost and Charge Rates stored at the Staff level and used by the application when assigning Staff to Projects.

This functionality will significantly reduce the amount of administrative overhead for organisations that require all or certain Projects to be set up to be visible to all Staff.

Staff Projects - Bulk Change
Staff Projects - Bulk Change is a powerful new feature in TimePro v5.0 designed to streamline the task of maintaining Staff-Project records in TimePro. In the past Administrators had to make changes one record at a time, which could be time consuming when rolling out rate changes and the like. The new Bulk Change function simplifies the process by letting TimePro Administrators update multiple Staff Project records at once, significantly reducing the time and effort it takes to perform these changes. Bulk Changes can also be made to apply from an effective Date, allowing the Administrator to retrospectively apply changes to existing Time records.

Text Search in Admin Records Listings
Administrators can now perform a text search on the maintenance pages in TimePro, making it easier to find specific records without having to browse through all records in the list.

The text search function cleverly looks through all relevant columns for matching records and is available on all the Admin maintenance screens.

Other enhancements
TimePro v5.0 also features a number of minor enhancements that extend on exisiting system operations:

Negative Time Entry: TimePro can now be configured to allow for the entry of Negative Time into the timesheets. Negative Time is deducted from the total of hours recorded against a project, and is useful for correcting errors in times recorded in previous periods.

Entry of Zero Time: You can now configure TimePro to allow Entry of Zero Time. This is useful when Staff are required to submit a timesheet for a period even if they have not worked during that period.

Enter Expenses Including Tax: This is a new configuration setting that allows Administrators to determine whether Expense entry in TimePro is to include or exclude Tax.

Default Charge and Cost Rates: The Manage My Projects screen, which lets Users assign themselves to Projects, has been enhanced to take advantage of the Default Charge and Cost Rates which can be assigned to Staff Records. When Users add themselves to Projects using this screen, the Default Charge and Cost Rates in their Staff records will be automatically applied to their new Staff Project record assignments.

Project Specific Tasks sequencing in Time Entry: Project Specific Tasks listed in the Task Undertaken drop down menu in Time Entry is now in numerical order, based on the Sequence Number assigned to the Project Specific Tasks, making for easier identification of Tasks by Users. If Task Sequence Numbers are not used then the ordering of tasks is as it was previously (description order).

Administrator Access Only: It is now possible to immediately prevent all access by non-Admin Staff by setting a configuration option. Previously it was only possible to prevent non-Admin Staff members from logging on, and thus there was no way of preventing access for those already logged on.

Rate Change Options: When using the special edit function ‘’ located on the Staff Project screen alongside the Charge Rate, Cost Rate and Cost Code fields, you can now choose to make a Standard Edit or a Historical-Preservation Edit. The Standard Edit modifies the selected record directly, affecting historical time and expense records already attached as well as any new time and expense records to be entered. The Historical-Preservation Edit is different in that it disables the selected Staff Project record, thus preserving the Charge Rate, Cost Rate and Cost Code fields attached to existing time records – a new Staff Project record is then automatically created with the new values to which all future time and expense records are associated.

Displaying Roles in Print and Authorise Timesheets: TimePro Print Timesheets (Project Timesheets, Summary Timesheets and Detail Timesheets ) and Authorise Timesheets have been enhanced so that Roles, if used, will also be shown with the Project, Task and Task Description data displayed on these timesheets.

MYOB Integration Module Updates
Integration with the latest MYOB releases: The MYOB Integration Module in TimePro v5.0 has been updated to integrate with the most recent releases of MYOB Accounting and Business Products:

Default MYOB Activity Record: When using the Global Project feature, a default MYOB Activity Record called "Not yet assigned" will be inserted in Staff Project Records if there is no existing MYOB Activity record in the system, or if multiple MYOB Activity records exist. This default record will remind Administrators that they need to assign a MYOB Activity to the Staff Project Record.

Upgrading to TimePro v5.0
TimePro Hosted customers pay a small once-off migration fee to cover the site setup and data migration of their TimePro systems to the new version v5. The upgrade fee schedule is based on the number of steps required by the database administrator to upgrade you from your current version, as follows:

Versions 3.4 – 3.8 - $600 inc GST
Versions 4.0 – 4.2 - $450 inc GST
Versions 4.3 - 4.5 - $300 inc GST
Version 4.6 - $150 inc GST (Free for customers who commenced in 2008)

Team TimePro takes on the Great Bike Ride

Team TimePro has taken to the streets once again on their "deadly treadlies" for this year's City of Perth Great Bike Ride on Sunday 25 November 2007.

The City of Perth Great Bike Ride is an annual event, offering participants of all abilities the opportunity to participate in one of WA's premiere cycling events. A range of routes are available, with some of the best views the city of Perth has to offer.

Sporting our characteristic TimePro jerseys, the team placed well this year, with a number of cyclists coming in the top 10 in the 53km Timed Ride.

We continually strive to enhance and improve Intertec TimePro web timesheets by adding functionality that is applicable to our broad customer base. In this light, we are planning to release the following important new features with our next major upgrade: TimePro v5.0.

Global Projects
In the past, to make a Project visible to all Staff, the system administrator was required to assign each Staff member to that Project either manually or using the application's Copy Project/Staff features.

In future the Administrator will be able to flag a Project as "Global", meaning that it will automatically become visible to all Staff without any need for the system administrator to make the assignment. To achieve this there will be other associated enhancements such as Default Staff Cost and Charge Rates stored at the Staff level and used by the application when making the assignment of Staff to Project.

This functionality is expected to significantly reduce the amount of administrative overhead for organisations that require all or certain Projects to be set up to be visible to all Staff.

Bulk Rate Change
The new Bulk Rate Change feature is designed to streamline the task of maintaining Staff-Project rates in TimePro. With Bulk Rate Change, Administrators can change the Cost and/or Charge Rates for all or nominated Staff on Projects.

Staff will also be assigned default Cost and Charge Rates, which will be used when you assign Staff to Projects.

New Stylish Interface
TimePro v5.0 will feature a new stylish interface which updates the look and feel, making the interface more visually appealing as well as easier to use for both Administrators and Users.

Moreover, you can now select the colour scheme for the interface from a choice of available colour themes.

TimePro v4.6 - Now Available

TimePro v4.6 is now available for all new clients and prospects. This upgrade includes new features, such as the Compact Interface (for PDA or mobile devices), Staff Manager Authorisation and Advanced MYOB Integration.

Changing hourly rates in TimePro

The New Year often brings with it an increase in hourly rates for work undertaken. If you need to change the rates for Staff in TimePro, read on...

Charge and cost rates are defined in Staff Project Records in TimePro. There are two primary ways in which you can change the charge rates for Staff in TimePro:

Set a new rate which retroactively applies to all time records (historical and future records): This is achieved by editing nominated Staff Project Records and changing the charge or cost rates in the appropriate fields. Doing this changes the charge or cost rates for all time records associated with the Staff Project Records which have been edited this way.

Set a new rate for all future time records: This sets a new rate for all future time records associated with the Staff Project Record, whilst retaining the old rate for historical time records. You do this in the Staff Project listing by clicking on the 'set new rate' button located next to the Charge or Cost rate you would like to change. The new rate applies from the time it is set via this method. The 'set new rate' button resembles three dots [...] set in a button.

Retrospectively changing rates

At times, you may need to retrospectively change rates so that the new rate comes into effect on a nominated date in the recent past. For example, you may need to change the charge rate for a Staff Project record effective the 2nd January 2007.

To do this, you would use the second method above (set a new rate for all future time records) to create a new rate record for the Staff Project record. You would then need to review the Staff member's timesheets for the periods since the date of the rate change to locate times against projects in which the new rate applies.
Edit these timesheets and you will see that the projects against which these times have been recorded will now be marked with [DISABLED]. This refers to the fact that the Staff-Project record for that Project item is now disabled, having been replaced with a new Staff Project Record with the new charge rate for the Staff member working on that Project.
Simply select the active project from the Projects drow down menu (you will note that both the active and [DISABLED] Project are selectable), and click the 'Save' button once you have updated the record.
Do this for all instances of the Staff member's time records against that Project in their timesheet until the current period's timesheet.

Example:

On the 1st January 2007, John Brown's rate on the Adaptec Helpdesk Services project increases from $85/hr to $100/hr. John has already recorded a week's worth of time records against this Project in TimePro. The current date is January 9, 2007.
As TimePro Administrator, you access the Staff Projects listing and using the second method above, you set the future charge rate of the Staff Project Record for John Brown - Adaptec Helpdesk Services to $100/hr. The new rate comes into effect the moment you submit the change.
You now need to retrospectively update John's timesheets from the 1st of January to reflect this change. You view John's timesheet for the week of 1/1/07 and note that he has 5 time records against Adaptec Helpdesk Services, one per day.
You edit each day's time record, noting that the project listing for 'Adaptec Helpdesk Services' is now listed as [DISABLED]. You click on the Project listing drop down and select 'Adaptec Helpdesk Services' from the items there. You then save that timesheet.
You repeat this for each entry that John has recorded against 'Adaptec Helpdesk Services' for the week, effectively updating John's time recorded from the old rate to the new rate.
When you have finished, you submit John's timesheet so that the times for that week will be billed on the new rate.

Once again, Team TimePro, Intertec's own team of cycling enthusiasts, will be taking to the streets in the Great Bike Ride 2006 - Perth's premier cycling event. Established in 2004, the Great Bike Ride has since developed into one of the largest mass cycling events on the West Australian Calendar.

The Start / Finish line is located at Langley Park on the Perth CBD foreshore. The ride circuit follows the Swan River anticlockwise from Perth via Fremantle and return.

Team TimePro will be participating in the 53km ride (1 lap) - so watch for our eye-catching Team TimePro cycling Jerseys (pictured).

‘Skinning’ a product allows it to be customised to reflect an organisation’s branding and visual identify.

When new UK client, Plugin Design, sought a web timesheet solution that could be integrated with their corporate branding and identity, the team at Intertec created a custom TimePro ‘skin’ to reflect Plugin Design’s slick, clean and innovative aesthetics.

Intertec TimePro sponsors ‘Team TimePro’, a cycling team consisting of TimePro technicians and consultants. Team TimePro has participated in a variety of cycling events, most notably the Great Bike Ride in November last year, where one of our riders, Clayton “Turbo” Austin, finished 4th out of the 1800 entrants in the event. Team TimePro’s next challenge is the 2006 Main Roads LifeCycle Great Western Australian Bike Ride, from Albany to Margaret River in WA.

Major Enhancements

Weekly Time Entry: TimePro's time entry function has been made even more flexible with the addition of the Weekly Time Entry feature. This gives TimePro users the choice of either entering worked hours by day or by week. Please note that this feature is only available when the TimePro system has been set to enable Worked Hours time entry (done via the 'Settings' tab in TimePro).

In Weekly Time Entry, TimePro users select the Customer, Project and Task as per Daily Time Entry, and enter their hours worked for the Project or Task for each day of the week. The Weekly Time Entry grid will automatically calculate and display the total hours recorded per day and per project/task as they are entered, giving TimePro users an immediate view of the time spent within the week on specific projects.

Weekly Time Entry has been developed with the needs of your staff in mind - it allows staff to more effectively match and manage their time entry activities to work priorities and time recording methods.

New, easy-to-use Toolbar: Your use of TimePro has been made easier and more accessible with the provision of a new Toolbar. This Toolbar gives you easy access to frequently used functions and timesheet reports, as well as a new timesheet report: the Summary Timesheet, which is explained in more detail below.

The new Toolbar replaces some of the buttons in previous versions of TimePro, and also incorporates new features. Functions that are now available via the Toolbar are:

Copy Timesheet: This button allows users to copy the time records for the currently displayed period to another time period. It replaces the 'Period Copy' button in previous versions of TimePro.

Print Summary Timesheet: This button, a new feature with this upgrade, generates a Summary Timesheet report. See the section below for more detail.

Print Detail Timesheet: This button replaces the 'Print Staff Timesheet' button, previously located adjacent to the 'Quick Reports' button in the Timesheet View screen. The 'Print Detail Timesheet' button will generate a printable timesheet displaying worked hours for all projects and tasks in the time period.

Print Expenses: This button replaces the 'View Quick Report on Expenses' button, previously located next to the Expenses button in the Timesheet View screen. This button will display an Expenses Quick Report for printing, if your TimePro system has been configured to enable 'Expenses Tracking'.

Submit Timesheet/Complete Timesheet: TimePro users can now use this button on the Toolbar to submit their timesheet (if Use Authorisation is enabled) or complete their timesheets at the end of the time period. For convenience, this button is also available at the end of the Timesheet View screen. Please note that once a timesheet has been submitted or completed, this button becomes unavailable - shown as a 'greyed out' button on screen.

Summary Timesheet: With a single click of a button, TimePro will generate a Summary Timesheet report that will show Project Totals and Sub-task Totals of hours worked for the given time period. The report also shows sub-totals for the day and week, and period totals.

Minor Enhancements

The functionality of time records deletion has been altered. In earlier versions of TimePro, time records were permanently removed when the user chose the Delete option. Now, time records are first marked for deletion and only permanently removed when the user presses "Save Changes" in the TimePro entry screen. This gives the user the ability to back out if records have been deleted by mistake.
Several very minor miscellaneous bugs have been fixed.

Intertec TimePro's New Weekly Time Entry

The team at Intertec is constantly refining TimePro to better meet the time entry and time tracking requirements of our clients. Our latest release features Weekly Time Entry, which allows users to enter hours by week.

TimePro users will now have the choice of recording worked hours on a day-by-day or weekly basis into the timesheet. In today's diverse workplaces, this flexibility allows staff to more effectively match and manage their time entry activities to work priorities and working styles.

How to use Weekly Time Entry: To access Weekly Time Entry, users click the 'Weekly Add/Edit' button in the Timesheet View.

The term PDA is short for 'personal digital assistant' and refers to a handheld device that combines computing, telephone/fax, and networking features. PDAs are also called palmtops, hand-held computers and pocket computers. The field of PDA development was pioneered by Apple Computer TM , which introduced the Newton MessagePad in 1993. Shortly thereafter, several other manufacturers offered similar products.

The wireless connectivity of the next generation of PDAs using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies is supporting the extension and direction of future applications. Wireless technology in general has become cheaper and much more common over the last few years as more home users and institutions deploy or adopt wireless networks to share lines and devices around the house or within the workplace.

Wireless is also seen as a critical platform for content delivery in the future and in the development of community networks as the population becomes an increasingly mobile one. Fuelled by the need to work in different environments and for different purposes, individuals and organizations need to go beyond traditional computing and information-seeking infrastructures. PDAs and wireless networks are extending these boundaries to the benefit of personal and business applications.

Analysts predict that this rapid roll-out of wireless technology and related applications will drive the development of a new class of handheld devices that incorporate server technology to enable message and service brokering, database hosting and access to selected data.
